Philip can help…
Philip does work with children and teenagers who are aged approximately 10 to 16 years of age and he has been DBS checked to work with children and vulnerable adults.
Many problems such as school phobias, low confidence, low self esteem, eating disorders, self harm, anxiety to name but a few of the problems Philip has helped young people resolve.
Unsolicited comment from the mother of a young person who had a fear of being sick:
I am pleased to tell you that he has had this fear under control since the session with you/listening to the recording and is no longer troubled by this.
Unsolicited comment from the mother of a young person consulting with school and social phobia:
“As far as we are both concerned the improvement is remarkable. About six weeks ago she visited our office having come by bus (something she has not done on her own for almost four years). She is still having private tuition but for at least one lesson a week, for the past four weeks, she has been having that in the school library and wearing her school uniform. Words cannot adequitely express my gratitude to you”.
Children and teenagers, normally have a flexibility and willingness to take on board new ideas and concepts that can lead to permanent positive change.
Philip uses these natural skills that young people have in abundance, to help them resolve their fears, worries and unwanted behavior.
What happens next?
Initially, Philip will want to talk to you privately, to obtain some background about your child and find out what if any treatment is or has already been carried out. You of course can ask any questions you wish to find out how Philip thinks he can help.
Providing you and your child is happy to met Philip, a meeting will then be arranged. Sometimes of course young people can become very nervous or may change their mind at the very last moment, that’s fine, you won’t be charged for the appointment, these things happen with young people. It may become apparent to Philip during the appointment that he can’t help, in which case you of course won’t be charged. It is of course necessary for the ‘legal guardian’ to attend these appointments.
It normally takes between two and six sessions to help, depending on the age of the young person and the problem consulted for.
