A bit about me…

I qualified as a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist in 1985, and have practiced in Jersey since then, gaining wide experience in Private Practice, successfully treating a variety of psychological problems. I am also a Diploma Trained Counsellor with the Central School of Counselling and Therapy.

I attend a minimum of forty hours Continuing Professional Development each year and hold an Advanced Diploma in Hypnotherapy, studying issues such as sexual abuse, belief systems, treating children, substance abuse, pain management, memory enhancement, micro body language and forensic hypnosis. I also practice Positive Applied Psychology and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy..

I have also received training from Dr Richard Bandler the creator of NLP & NHR techniques.

In 2010 I was honoured to accept a Fellowship from the International Association for Evidence Based Psychotherapy in recognition of my work and contribution to Psychotherapy. I am one of only nine therapists in the United Kingdom to have been given this honour by the Association. I also sits on the counsel of management of the IAEBP.

Fees & how to pay

Initial 20 minute consultation FREE for all problems except smokers, they can attend without an initial consultation. The types of therapy I offer are shown below, along with associated prices. Please note, no demonstrations are given.

Positive Psychology Mind Training Programme

Two options to choose from for face to face sessions and online sessions:

Fee £115 per session.

Fee £95 per consultation

Psychotherapy, Free Association with hypnosis

Fee £95 per session.

Fee £125 per consultation.

Fee £350 for the course payable at the first visit.

Aged up to and including 16 years of age, 30 minutes consultation Fee £60, 1 hour £90

I understand there are times when it is necessary to cancel an appointment due to an emergency or becoming suddenly unwell.

Providing as much notice of your need to cancel is important, (ideally 24 hours notice), in order that we can try to book someone to fill the space, as there is a cost for office space to cover.

Should you forget your appointment (a text message is sent to remind you), or change your mind and not cancel then the full session fee may be due.

You may also pay by cash or bank transfer. It is regretted that cheques are no longer accepted.

If you have Private Medical Insurance and you would like to use this to pay for your sessions, please speak to Philip about this when you meet him.

Credit is not available other than by prior arrangement. All fees are payable at the end of your session, refunds are not available.

Where I’m based

Consultations are conducted in my consulting room located within Suite 2.09, Lido Medical Centre, St Saviours Road.  On-line consultations are also available if you prefer to have sessions at home.
